Dr. Ravi Mohanka is the Chief Surgeon and Head of Department of Liver Transplant and Hepato-Biliary Surgery at Global Hospitals, Mumbai. He has trained and worked at some of the most reputed hospitals in India and USA, including the prestigious Thomas E Starzl Transplantation Institute at the University of Pittsburgh. He has undergone advanced training in laparoscopic and robotic liver surgery at the world’s leading institutes at France and Italy.
He has organized, conducted and chaired many national and international level conferences, delivered faculty lectures, presented and published his research work at scientific meetings and international journals. He is keen to advance the science of transplantation through basic research and regenerative medicine. He strives to use cutting-edge technology to enable affordable world-class transplantation facilities available to patients in India with end-stage organ failure.
