Unlocking the Power of AI: Building Agents with Simple English, Not Complex Code!!

As part of our Executive MBA (EMBA) program, we invite industry stalwarts to share their personal journeys and experiences with our class. This time, we had the honour of hosting Omkar Pandharkame, Chief Strategy Officer at Supervity AI, who shared his fascinating journey in entrepreneurship and enlightened us on the intricacies of building AI-Agents.

Omkar took us on a deep dive into his entrepreneurial experiences, specifically focusing on three stories, nine lessons, and one takeaway. Having worked with three different start-ups, he offered invaluable insights into how to navigate the often unpredictable and challenging waters of the start-up world. His candidness about his personal mistakes, the decisions he made, and the lessons he learned along the way provided us with a roadmap for succeeding in entrepreneurship.

Key Takeaways from His Session:

Never give away anything for free: Giving away your product or service for free, even at the beginning, can devalue it in the eyes of potential customers.

Seek validation outside your immediate circle: Omkar emphasized that seeking validation for your ideas from people who are too close to you can often lead to biased feedback.

Don't send your best soldier first in the war: This was another critical lesson shared by Omkar - don’t rush to deploy all the features/functionalities in the solution all at once.

Market the Problem, Not the Product: Rather than focusing on the product itself, he stressed the importance of addressing the problem your business solves.

Everything Everywhere All at Once!

One of the most surprising moments during the session was when Omkar discussed how to build an AI agent. He mentioned that you don’t need to be an IT expert to create an AI agent, all you need is a command of the English language. This remark initially puzzled many of us, especially those without a technical background, who wondered how such a feat could be possible.

However, as the session unfolded, Omkar expertly demonstrated how building an AI agent doesn’t require complex coding skills or a deep understanding of algorithms. By simply framing problems and instructions in clear, concise English, he showed how AI can be harnessed to solve real-world business challenges.

What truly made Omkar’s session remarkable was his energy and enthusiasm. This session reinforced the idea that what might seem complicated or out of reach at first can often be broken down into manageable steps, and with the right guidance, it becomes much easier to understand and implement.

We left the session with a deeper understanding of how to build AI agents and a greater appreciation for the power of simplicity in solving complex problems.
